Wilma Derksen is living an experiment in forgiveness. Faced with the blunt reality of the murder of her daughter in 1984, and the haunting presence of an overwhelming desire for revenge, Wilma dared to choose a counter-intuitive way of dealing with it all.

When her controversial choice to forgive hit the headlines, she was forced to defend it, redefine it, explore it, experiment with it, live it, fight with it and eventually accept it.

Now she has written about that journey in her new book Dispelling the Clouds: A Desperate Social Experiment – including her unexpected findings along the way. Find more about her and her new book at www.wilmaderksen.com.

Join us Thursday, Sept. 24 at 10 a.m. PDT / 11 a.m. MDT / noon CDT / 1 p.m. EDT / 2 p.m. ADT to hear Wilma talk about her journey, the media's reaction and how editors can help people who have experienced the trauma of homicide tell their stories.

The Zoom URL will be emailed to CCCA members, who can feel free to share privately (not on social media) with friends. Non-members should contact us to request those details, or simply join us at the appropriate time at https://www.facebook.com/CanadianChristianCommunicatorsAssociation.
